Hose pumps - also known as peristaltic pumps - are highly suitable for pumping a wide variety of media with high dosing accuracy and are called a true problem solver.
With its simple and robust construction, it is an ideal pumping solution for applications where media that can be abrasive, viscous, and contain particles need to be pumped.
Since the only wear part in the pump is the hose, using a hose pump results in minimal maintenance and low operating costs.
The hose pump is also effective for tasks where there are priming requirements, as they can provide up to 90% vacuum and where air entrained products are not a challenge to pump compared to dry running, as it does not have a mechanical seal.
The hose pump is also used within the food industry, and here the hoses are naturally supplied with EC1935/2004 approval.
The pump comes standard with DIN flanges in stainless steel. As an option, VerderFlex pumps can also be supplied with sanitary connections such as SMS union, DIN 11851, and Tri-Clamp 32676 as an option.
When pumping extremely aggressive media where stainless steel is not sufficiently resistant, the connections can be provided with linings in plastic PP or PVDF.
The patented 2-part flanges provide better access to the bolts, enabling the use of a power tool. Flanges are easily removed by turning 1/4 of a turn.
The hose is efficiently fixed using the conical clamping. The O-ring eliminates the risk of leakage to the surroundings.
The unique design with the bearing located directly below the centerline of the hose reduces the load on the drive line significantly and allows for the use of standard gear motors. The stable bearing combined with the fine tolerances of the hoses also ensures that the hose is never over- or under-compressed, resulting in a significantly longer service life of the hoses.
The rotor hub is fixed to the shaft using a friction coupling that releases if the allowable torque is exceeded. This ensures that the drive line is not overloaded if the pump, for example, becomes blocked due to a foreign object.
The exceptionally stable pump housing with built-in cooling fins ensures efficient hose cooling, increasing the hose's lifespan.
The DURA series uses standard DIN standardized gear motors. This means that it is possible to use multiple brands of gear motors.
The Dura series delivers more per stroke than other peristaltic pumps.
The high capacity, combined with hoses that can withstand up to 15 million compressions, ensures extra long life.
