Well-considered, robust, and service-friendly design
High efficiency thanks to stable bearing construction with short overhang
Double ball bearings on powerful shafts with short overhang eliminate the risk of deflection during operation. This makes it possible to reduce the clearance between rotors and housing. The tight tolerances result in a significantly improved efficiency compared to competing lobe pumps.
Helical gears ensure noise-free operation under all conditions
The helical ultra-precise synchronous gears provide very accurate synchronization of the shafts and ensure noise-free operation, even at very high loads/speeds. The ZP series comes standard with high efficiency non-ratcheting rotors in Nitronic 60, but can also be supplied with rotors in AISI 316.
Non-colliding rotors ensure stable operation even under challenging conditions
No collisions during sudden temperature changes
Collisions between rotors and pump casing can be a problem for conventional lobe pumps. The ZP series can be supplied with non-colliding rotors in Nitronic 60 as an option to eliminate this issue.
Higher efficiency and good suction capability
Due to very tight tolerances and long sealing lines, the ZP series has significantly better suction capabilities compared to conventional lobe pumps.
Front-mounted shaft seals
Front-mounted, hydraulically balanced shaft seals are standard in the ZP series. The compact design with seals placed in the center of the rotors provides an exceptionally compact design with minimal shaft overhang.
