Packo 3A-certified pharmaceutical process pumps in the ZLC series are used for the most demanding sterile applications in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and cosmetic industries. All media-contacting parts in stainless steel 316L, 100% non-porous and extremely smooth surfaces. Thanks to its crevice-free design and electropolishing as a final surface treatment, the ZLC pump series is perfectly cleanable, resulting in a reliable component in your production process.

Front-mounted shaft seals

Highly service-friendly and hygienic design with front-mounted shaft seals. The pump meets even the strictest pharmaceutical requirements and comes standard with all common approvals such as EHEDG – 3A -EC1935 – FDA & ATEX.

Well-thought-out, robust, and service-friendly design

High efficiency due to stable bearing construction with short overhang

Double ball bearings on sturdy shafts with short overhang eliminate the risk of deflection during operation. This makes it possible to reduce the clearance between rotors and housing. The tight tolerances result in a significantly improved efficiency compared to competing lobe pumps.

Helical gears ensure noise-free operation under all conditions

The ultra-precise synchronous gears provide very precise shaft synchronization, which is essential, especially when using twisted rotors. The gears are helical, making them extremely silent, even at very high loads/speeds. The ZL series comes standard with high-efficiency Bi-Wing rotors, but can also be supplied with 3-lobe, multi-lobe, single-wing, or the unique pulsation-free rotors.

The ZL series can be equipped with optional pulsation-free twisted rotors, providing significantly gentler pumping by minimizing sudden changes in speed throughout the pump and piping system.

Higher flow due to low NPSH value

By avoiding acceleration and deceleration in the suction line, the pump's NPSHr value is much lower compared to traditional impellers. This allows the pump to operate at high speeds, for example during CIP.

Lower energy consumption

Since the fluid flows steadily without the need for acceleration and deceleration in the piping system, energy consumption is greatly reduced.
