The ZL series is designed for a wide range of applications, covering dairy, food, beverage, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, bakeries, detergents, spirits, and chemical industries.They are specially designed for transporting liquids ranging from low to high viscosity with gentle product handling.Each series of Packo lobed rotary pump is state-of-the-art within its range. The pumps can be equipped with a variety of features and rotors to adapt to nearly all hygienic pumping tasks. The pumps can be customized for optimal function or performance for your process.
Front-mounted shaft seals
Highly service-friendly and hygienic design with front-mounted shaft seals ensures that the shaft seals are in direct contact with the CIP fluid. The pumps comply with even the strictest pharmaceutical requirements and come standard with all common approvals such as EHEDG – 3A -EC1935 – FDA & ATEX.

High efficiency thanks to stable bearing construction with short overhang
Double ball bearings on sturdy shafts with short overhang eliminate the risk of deflection during operation. This allows for reducing the clearance between rotors and housing. The tight tolerances result in significantly improved efficiency compared to competing lobed rotor pumps.
Helical gears ensure noise-free operation under all conditions
The ultra-precise synchronous gears provide very precise shaft synchronization, which is essential, especially when using twisted rotors. The gears are helical, making them extremely quiet, even at very high loads/speeds. The ZL series comes standard with high efficiency Bi-Wing rotors, but can also be supplied with 3-lobe, multi-lobe, single wing, or the unique pulsation-free rotors.

Gentle on the product
The ZL series can be equipped with pulsation-free twisted rotors as an option, providing a significantly gentler pumping action by avoiding large speed changes through the pump and piping system.
Higher flow due to low NPSH value
Because the liquid is neither accelerated nor decelerated in the suction line, the pump's NPSHr is much lower compared to traditional rotor types. This enables the pump to operate at high speeds, for example, during CIP processes.
Lower energy consumption
As the medium flows at a constant rate without acceleration or deceleration in the piping system, energy consumption is significantly reduced.
