Efficient perforated disc shredder
Multichopper Pure is based on the standard Multichopper, but without a stone trap. The machine is highly effective for shredding long fibers and particles that can cause problems in the process. Issues with fibers wrapping around shafts and clogging heat exchangers, etc. are effectively eliminated with the Multichopper. The machine is available in 2 sizes made of either cast iron or stainless steel.
Operation
The medium passes through the perforated disc where rotating knives shred the fibers to the desired size. The shredding level can be adjusted by using perforated discs with different hole sizes and by adapting the rotation speed of the knives. The low flow velocity ensures that the fibers receive several cuts as they pass through the perforated plate.
Technical design and benefits
- Large front cover for quick service- The cover for the Multichopper provides quick access to all product-related parts.
- Knife holder- Multi-arm holders with reversible knives are available as a rotating cutting unit.
- Perforated disc- Various perforated discs are on a stationary cutting unit. The perforated discs are held in place with a couple of screws and can be flipped for use on both sides.
- Stone trap- The debris collector is attached under the flow passage of the Multichopper plus. The blades' centrifugal motion and the fluid's diagonal flow transport the unchopped hard parts into the debris collector. The Multichopper Pure design does not have a debris collector.
- Chopping chamber- The chamber is manufactured in one piece.
- Drive- The drive is directly coupled to provide a more compact unit. Three versions of drive models are available.

By rotating the shredder housing 180°, the flow direction can be changed quickly. The machine is available in two sizes with DN80 and DN100 connections, respectively.
Particle Size Tailored to Each Task
The particle size can be adjusted by changing the rotational speed and installing perforated discs of different diameters & patterns.
