ROBUST & RELIABLE SELF-PRIMING CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
MSP-N series
Affetti magnetically coupled self-priming centrifugal pumps are used for installations where positive suction to the pump is not possible. When the pump housing is filled with fluid, the MSP-N series can prime with up to 4 meters of negative suction head. The magnetically coupled design eliminates the risk of shaft seal leaks and ensures the pump never draws in air, even at high suction heights.
Material combinations
The pumps are manufactured in thermoplastic PP or PVDF with O-rings in EPDM-FPM-FEP or FFKM, making them highly suitable for pumping acids and bases. The robust pump casing with a thick wall provides a very durable and reliable pump.

General Construction and Materials
- Pump housing in PP or PVDF
- Impeller in PP or PVDF; semi-open for particle-laden fluids or closed for clean or hot fluids.
- Shaft in PP or PVDF with Nd-Fe-B magnets completely encapsulated in thermoplastic.
- Bearing bushing in PTFE CG (SiC on request).
- External magnet core with Nd-Fe-B magnets rotates with the motor and transmits the forces to the rotor.
- Loose flanges in glass fiber reinforced PP, reinforced with a steel core.
- Intermediate adapter in extra heavy-duty cast iron G25 with integrated feet.
- Static bearing in SiC (Al2O3 on request).
- Three-phase asynchronous motor, according to IEC (NEMA on request).
