HIGH-END CHEMICAL NORM PUMP IN COMPACT DESIGN

CDI Series

CDI horizontal centrifugal pumps according to ISO 2858/EN 22858. The series is intended for particularly difficult applications where extra high demands are placed on reliability. The service-friendly pumps are compact in size and extremely reliable. The robust pump housing in cast iron with thick plastic linings ensures a very strong and reliable pump. The CDI series is an improved version of the previous CGM series.

Typical applications:

Sulfuric acid (H2SO4), Hydrochloric acid (HCl), Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), Nitric acid (HNO3), Caustic soda (NaOH), Phosphoric acid (H3PO4), Iron chloride (ZnCl2).

Material combinations

Suitable for pumping acids and bases. Media-contacting parts are made of thermoplastics (PP, PVDF, PE-UHMW) and O-rings in (EPDM-FPM-FEP or FFKM). The series is available with a variety of shaft seal types such as lip seal, single or double mechanical shaft seals in internal or external design.

Open or closed impellers

Standardly supplied with partially open impellers that handle some impurities, but can also be supplied with closed impellers for clean media upon request.

Technical Structure and Benefits

  1. Cast iron pump casing ensures high strength.
  2. Extra heavy-duty lining in PP, PVDF, or PE-UHMW ensures long life.
  3. Impeller in PP, PVDF, or PE-UHMW; partially open for particle-laden media or closed for high-temperature applications.
  4. Shaft sleeve in PP, PVDF, or PE-UHMW protects the shafts. Rotates with the shaft but is independent of the impeller.
  5. Standardized mechanical shaft seals.
  6. Extra heavy-duty front metal plate in S235JR-EN1025 carbon steel.
  7. Discharge flange in two halves, made of S235JR-EN1025 carbon steel.
  8. Balanced shaft in 42CrMo4 carbon steel (special alloys available upon request), oversized for efficient absorption of axial and radial forces and protected by a sleeve in PP, PVDF, or PE-UHMW.
  9. Motor adapter in cast iron. Designed so that heat from the pump is not transferred to the motor.
  10. Base frame in electrically welded carbon steel or AISI 316 stainless steel.

Mechanical shaft seals for mildly aggressive, clean, and non-thermally conductive fluids. Static and rotating rings in SiC, springs and holders in SS316 not in contact with the fluid, elastomers in EPDM or FPM. Available as external type (B6E-B6EC), internal (B6I-B6IC-B6IH), or double mechanical type (B6EDF-B6EDFC).

PTFE bellows seals

Mechanical shaft seals for highly aggressive media and high temperatures. Static and rotating rings in three different material combinations (SiC-SiC, SiC-Al2O3, Al2O3-PTFE-C), PTFE bellows, springs, and holder in SS316 (non-media contacting). Available as external type (JRS - JRS1 - JRA) or double mechanical type (JR2S - JR2S1 - JT2P - JR2A).

Mechanical shaft seal for moderately aggressive, clean, and non-extremely hot media. Static and rotating rings in two different combinations (SiC-SiC, Carbon-graphite-SiC), spring and retainer in Hastelloy C276, O-ring in EPDM or FKM. Available as an internal type (UMG - UMS) or double mechanical type (UM2G - UM2S).
